Position Summary:
The Activities Ambassador's primary responsibility is assisting the Activities Manager and Activities Coordinator in implementing daily resort activities throughout all seasons. This includes but is not limited to yoga, lawn games, watersports, boat rental, fly-fishing, nature hikes, ice skating, snow-shoe hikes, and many more resort activities in collaboration with the Edgewood Marketing team.
A successful candidate must thrive in an outside environment, be engaging and overly hospitable to our guests, interested in developing and executing new resort activities, and be comfortable working independently. The essential characteristic of the team is that we love inspiring lasting memories for our guests. Essential Functions:
Assists the Activities Manager, Coordinator, and sometimes Concierge in welcoming guests upon arrival at activities.
Assist with booking our guests to attend activities and set up and break down said activities.
Build rapport with guests and provide them with genuine activity support and guidance.
Understand guest needs and provide personalized solutions by suggesting activities and facilities provided by the hotel.
Acquire extensive knowledge of the premises, nearby venues, and businesses to make suitable active recommendations.
Expect some minor crossover with our concierge service specific to local activities.
Enforce established safety rules and policies as they pertain to our activities.
Collaborate with other hotel departments and vendors to support set activities.
Will have point-of-sale responsibilities and billing responsibilities as needed.
Ability to quickly pivot and adapt to unforeseen circumstances or weather conditions for proper execution of guest events or activities.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Skills:
Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to work a full-time schedule to include working holidays and weekends.
Some experience working with Point-of-Sale systems is a plus.
