The Community Health Nurse is a full journey registered nursing classification. Under general supervision, the position incumbent performs direct and indirect patient care services that assist the individual in coping with difficulties in daily living that are associated with actual or potential health or illness problems or the treatment thereof. The incumbent of this position is required to possess a substantial amount of scientific knowledge and technical skill.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSEducation:Graduation from an accredited college with an Associate’s degree in nursing.Experience:Three years of professional nursing experience in an acute care hospital, at least one year of which included medical, surgical or emergency room nursing, and/or an ambulatory primary care clinic.COMPENSATION &BENEFITS
100% FTE in a five step salary system with advancement upon satisfactory completion of a six-month probationary period and annual increases thereafter.
