Looking to gain experience in environmental science? We're hiring two short-term (6-month) technicians to work in our Biogeochemistry and Global Change Ecology Labs. The technicians will work in the field and lab, participating in several long-term experiments at sites like our Global Change Research Wetland. These are trust (non-federal) positions that include benefits, with an anticipated start date in November 2025.
The primary task is to recover, sort, and process roots and rhizomes from soil samples collected in our long-term wetland experiments. Secondary tasks include: collecting and analyzing environmental samples of water, soil, gas, and plants; lab equipment operation; and curating data. The technicians will collaborate on multiple long-term experiments at SERC’s Global Change Research Wetland and the COMPASS project.
