Residential Staff - CA Conservation Corps
AGENCY DESCRIPTION
The California Conservation Corps (CCC) is a State of CA department that provides young adults ages 18 – 25 with one year of paid service to the State of California. Corpsmembers work on environmental projects (firefighting, forestry, restoration, trails) and respond to emergencies throughout California.
The Tahoe CCC Center is located at 1949 Apache Avenue in South Lake Tahoe and consists of 25 staff and houses 80 Corpsmembers.
JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPOSIBILITIES
Residential Staff Member (RS): We are seeking additional Residential Staff Members to support operations. Duties include:
Security Work - Reporting emergencies, damages, and injuries in accordance with CCC Health and Safety guidelines in support of maintaining a positive living environment.
Corpsmember Development - Developing positive and professional relationships with Corpsmembers and staff while mentoring young adults in the program and promoting successful transition to careers after their time in the program.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Desire to work with young adults in a workforce and youth development environment.
Excellent communication skills and ability to adapt to unforeseen situations.
DETAILS
Salary: $19/hour

Schedule: Graveyard shift (preferred), holidays, on-call, overtime potential
Night and Weekend shift availability - Looking to fill a "Graveyard" Shift
