Position Summary:
We’re seeking a friendly, proactive, and service-oriented Guest Services Representative to join our front-of-house team. This dual-role position combines traditional front desk responsibilities with service at our cozy beer and wine bar located in the lodge lobby. As a key point of contact for our guests, you’ll help create a warm and memorable experience from check-in to last call. Ideal candidates are enthusiastic multitaskers who thrive in a boutique hospitality environment and enjoy connecting with guests.
Key Responsibilities:
Front Desk & Guest Experience
Facilitate a warm and friendly check-in and check-out process using our property management system (Cloudbeds).
Provide personalized recommendations on local activities, restaurants, and outdoor experiences in the South Lake Tahoe area.
Check rooms for cleanliness and guest readiness prior to arrival to ensure a high standard of presentation.
Answer guest questions by phone and email in a timely and professional manner.
Help with guest requests and coordinate with housekeeping or maintenance as needed.
Maintain a welcoming and tidy lobby environment at all times.
Beer & Wine Bar Service
Tend to the bar by pouring wine, beer, and canned beverages during designated service hours.
Engage with guests at the bar in a warm, knowledgeable, and responsible manner.
Monitor bar cleanliness and restock as needed, ensuring ambiance and atmosphere align with the lodge’s rustic but warm vibe.
Adhere to all responsible alcohol service guidelines and lodge policies.
Retail & Lobby Area
Assist with merchandising and tidiness of the lodge’s small retail display.
Provide product knowledge and support retail purchases when guests inquire.
Team & Property Support
Communicate effectively with the housekeeping, maintenance, and leadership to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction.
Report any guest feedback, maintenance needs, or safety issues promptly.
Support occasional small group events and gatherings when needed.
Contribute to the lodge’s sustainability practices by reducing waste and supporting eco-friendly standards.
Requirements:
Must be 21+ years of age to serve alcohol
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to multitask in a dynamic, guest-facing role
Self-starter who works well independently and with a small team
Flexible availability including weekends, evenings, and holidays
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs
