Beverage Manager- Golden Nugget

Pay RangeUSD $68,000.00 - USD $70,000.00 /Yr.

It is the primary responsibility of the Beverage Manager to manage all facets of the Beverage Department in an efficient and professional manner to ensure quality service to guests while monitoring the operations profitability and ensuring all service standards and legal obligations are followed. This position must also exhibit a high level of professional and personalized guest service that embodies the Company’s brand standard and core values (K.E.E.P. – Kindness, Engagement, Empathy and Positivity).

Responsibilities

  • Manage assigned operational functions within the department consistent with the strategic plan and vision for the department and the division.

  • Direct smooth, efficient, cost effective operation, including labor management, supervision of all aspects of services, scheduling and inventory control.

  • Oversee daily supervision.

  • Manage Human Resources responsibilities for assigned department(s) to include: creating a work environment that promotes teamwork, performance feedback, recognition, mutual respect and employee satisfaction; quality hiring, training in compliance with Company policies, legal requirements and Collective Bargaining Agreements.

  • Ensure maintenance and cleanliness of outlets with specific focus on departmental and SNHD food safety standards, OSHA, Fire and Life Safety Regulations.

  • Communicate expectations with theMaintenance department with a focus on preventative maintenance.

  • Participate in the research, development, evaluation and implementation of new products, services, technology and processes to ensure competitive position and in anticipation of changing customer needs within the dynamic hospitality/gaming environment.

  • Understand importance of internal guest service and display ability to communicate professionally and efficiently to all departments as needed within the property and Company.

  • Maintain employee license requirements, attendance, payroll records, and files.

  • Maintain a working relationship with the Culinary Union; comply with Company policies, legal requirements and Collective Bargaining Agreements.

  • Provide guidance and counsel to all beverage employeesand ensure all supervisors maintain consistency of rule enforcement.

  • Schedule for all beverage Bartenders, Cocktail Servers, Apprentice Bartenders and Bar Porters.

  • Ensures all bids, memos, and schedulesare posted in a timely manner.

  • Ensures daily floor plansare created based on the schedule for the managers to use as a tool when overseeing the casino floor.

  • Responsible for approving and entering all LOA, Vacation and EDO requests for all full time/on-call beverage employees.

  • Responsible for tracking attendance and creating discipline for all full time/on-call beverage employees.

  • Editsand track employee’s time in Kronos daily.

  • Assist with all processes and paperwork in regards to hiring, separation, discipline, training, and compliance.

  • Assist in project follow-up with various departments such as Engineering, Purchasing, Marketing, and PAD.

  • Assist in daily clerical and operational tasks to support the Beverage Team and perform duties as required within specified deadlines.

  • Assist Director with projects as required.

  • Perform other job related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the duties and responsibilities satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • At least 3 years of supervisory experience in beverage or an equivalent Food and Beverage supervisory position.

  • Previous experience in training and mentoring of staff.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and remain calm in a very high paced and stressful environment.

  • Ability to deal effectively with guests, management, employees and outside contacts.

  • Extensive liquor, beer wine and mixology knowledge.

  • Working knowledge of inventory management, previous scheduling experience.

  • Working knowledge of organizational methods with attention to detail while meeting targeted deadlines.

  • Excellent customer service skills.

  • Ability to lead and mentor a team.

  • Have interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts.

  • Professional appearance and demeanor.

  • Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.

  • Working knowledge of PC computer software programs (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
